(Šaštín, 2 May 2017) – The example of the virtuous life of Fr Titus Zeman, soon to be beatified, is being made known through various events in Slovakia and abroad. On Saturday 29 April, a pilgrimage of altar servers took place to Šaštín where the National Basilica of Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, is located.

The theme of the altar servers’ pilgrimage was “Titus, One of Us”. Two hundred altar servers had a chance to realize what they have in common with Fr Titus – in the very place where he used to be an altar server. In fact, the Basilica is also significant because Fr Titus Zeman came here to become a Salesian and used to study at the nearby Salesian school. The altar servers were encouraged to make their hearts ready to fight for the Good, as Titus did. They spent the day playing games, praying, but also had a meeting and discussion with Bishop Jozef Haľko, Auxiliary Bishop of Bratislava Archdiocese.
